Meet D’Ann
After graduating from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Communication Studies, I began my real estate career with a major production home builder before obtaining my real estate license in 2003. In 2005, I earned my Associate Broker's license and relocated to the Washington DC Metro area. With over 20 years of real estate experience, I rarely run across a situation I have not seen before! I consider myself a skilled negotiator and I thrive in the competitive DMV market. I often have to think outside the box to craft unique and innovative marketing strategies for my sellers and distinguish my buyer clients during multiple-offer situations. A bit of a techie, you will rarely see me without my iPhone or my MacBook Pro - my clients say I'm easy to reach and they never feel alone during the process.
Since moving to eXp Realty, I have earned the prestigious ICON production award in 2022 and 2023 and was the Top Individual Agent based on production in Maryland in 2023 and Top 100 Individual Agent within eXp Realty nationwide. I have been named a Top Producer by Bethesda Magazine, Washingtonian and one of DC's Best Real Estate Agents by Modern Luxury magazine. I thrive on continuing education and have earned the RCS-D (Real Estate Collaboration Specialist - Divorce) designation and the MRP (Military Relocation Professional) certification. I am also a proud member of the Residential Real Estate Council and a Certified Residential Specialist.
One of my favorite things about my real estate career is the ability to get involved and give back to my community. I spent four seasons lacing up my pink flag football cleats and serving on the Board of Directors of BvB Dallas and the Exec Board for Blondes vs Brunettes DC, tackling Alzheimer's disease one donation at a time. I volunteer locally with The Napkin Network, Manna Food Center and the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless. I am also a part of the Junior League of Washington DC and have sponsored the Women's Leadership Breakfast and Garden Party and served on the Holiday Celebration Committee. In 2023, I spearheaded eXp Realty's Montgomery County I Heart eXp Community Day, organizing a supplies drive and volunteering for the day with Comfort Cases. I also serve on the Board of Directors for Hero Dogs, Inc, an organization dedicated to providing service dogs free of charge to veterans and former first responders with a disability. My husband and I also raised Hero Dogs Monty, who is currently working as a Skilled Home Companion for a local Vietnam Veteran. By donating a portion of my commissions, I have sponsored Hero Dogs Charlie, who is currently working as a service dog with a local Marine Veteran and another dog, yet to be announced.
While I was born and raised in Texas, the DMV area is definitely HOME to me now. My husband Andrew is a Rockville native and works in the clubhouse for the Washington Nationals. We have a daughter, born in August of 2022, Presley Briar and a chocolate English Lab named Rooney. In our free time, you can usually find us at Nats Park, Capital One Arena or Audi Field cheering on our favorite sports teams. I also love exploring new restaurants, particularly if I can find one with an outdoor patio! We also love to visit family in the Texas Hill Country and to spend time in Palm Beach, Florida where the Nationals host training camp every year. We own a home in Manor Woods in Rockville and a rental property at The Gables on Tuckerman in North Bethesda.
